Codebreaker Catastrophe

Undercovers S01E03 Devices

This episode follows the Blooms as they attempt to retrieve a 'codebreaker', a device that supposedly could crack into the C.I.A. database. It was quite obvious from the outset that the 'device' would be a person rather than an item, and if it were an item...did they really believe that the bad guys would have left it unguarded? Seriously.

Though I kind of enjoyed the first two episodes, this one really annoyed me. There were random plot holes everywhere and things really didn't make sense. Besides the unguarded 'device', there were other scenes that truly bothered me. When they met up with the informant, for some reason they had Sam 'hiding' behind some weird metal pipe things, but she wasn't even well-hidden. She was almost in plain view with a HUGE camera, which I'm certain would have made her even more noticeable.

Then when Steven and Leo were inside the club attempting to get fingerprints, how in the world would they have gotten the prints? As if the 'bad guys' wouldn't have noticed how they switched the glasses. It's not as though they brought four glasses, so obviously the agents would have been drinking out of the bad guy's glasses. So not subtle.

Also, why did Steven act as though he could override their handler in the chain of command. That doesn't seem very plausible. And when they told their handler that their catering wasn't going that well, why did they look smug? >.>

The comedy wasn't even that funny this time around ughh. I don't know what happened between the previous weeks and this one but it wasn't good - at all.
