Lie to Me S03E01 In the Red
Lie to Me is back after only a month break because Lone Star bombed and was canceled after only two episodes. Harsh, but that's tv reality. I kind of wonder how many people knew that it had even finished and restarted the season, as opposed to just taking a little break like many shows do.
The season started off with lots of changes: Reynolds was 'fired' (Lightman didn't want to be a lapdog of the FBI), the policewoman we saw in the final episode of last season was the new go-to person (probably because she was willing to cut corners in her police work), and Lightman gained two grad students as helpers. The whole grad student thing had me wondering whether Locher was going to leave the cast sometime this season.
In this episode, Lightman foiled a bank robbery by becoming the crew's inside man. Unfortunately, I somehow doubt that in reality if someone is fingered as part of a heist, they wouldn't retaliate and/or scram at the first notice. Instead, they unrealistically 'cut' Lightman in on the heist (yea, right).
If this type of behavior continues to be how Lightman gets his 'jobs' I wonder how the firm will make any money. Well, I'll just continue to watch and see.
